Born in Lisbon, in 1967. Lives and works in Ericeira, Portugal. Studied painting at AR.CO – Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual in Lisbon, 1987/1992, and sculpture in 1987.
Since 1991 he has been participating in various group shows both in Portugal and abroad, having held his first solo show in 1994. In 1993 he was awarded the 1st Prize in Painting at the Portimão Art Fair (Portugal), and in 1995 was selected as part of Portugal's representation at the Biennale of Young Artists of Europe and the Mediterranean, in Rijeka, Croatia.

A Century of Art” at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, Portugal; “Ignoto” with Pedro Valdez Cardoso, at the Centro de Artes and Centro Emmerico Nunes, both in Sines, Portugal; and “Wire” with Rui Horta Pereira at Galeria Bangbang, in Lisbon, Portugal.
Carlos No is represented in institutional and private collections in Portugal, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Macao, Mexico, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican.
